How is this different from a meal kit box?
A meal kit box pre-portions ingredients into individual plastic packets and prices each meal as a bundle. We do the opposite - you pick a dish, we work out the exact ingredients from our own fresh catalogue, and the basket is priced at the same per-item prices as the rest of the shop, no per-meal markup.
Do I still get a recipe?
Yes - the full method comes with your order, alongside the exact basket built for that dish. You get the instructions and the ingredients, without the box of sachets and ice packs.
How do I pick a dish?
Cook This: send a photo, a screenshot or just describe the mood, and we build the matching basket from our own market catalogue and attach the recipe. Anything Cook This has already built for another customer is also published in the recipe library, ready to add straight to your basket.
Is there a subscription, or ongoing commitment?
No - a Cook This basket or a published recipe is a normal one-off order like anything else in the shop. Subscribe to a box separately if you want a standing weekly delivery, but nothing about ordering a recipe requires it.
Does the packaging avoid the plastic portioning?
There is no per-ingredient plastic portioning to begin with - ingredients arrive as the same produce sold across the rest of the shop, not pre-measured into individual sachets.
